In the cardiology department, all current non-invasive and invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed. In particulan coronary angiography with bal-loon dilations and Stent implantations are performed on a fully digitised left heart catheter rmeasuring Station. Another area of specialisation concerns the diagnosis and therapeutic procedures for heart arrhythmia and the cor-responding pre-operative preparation. In addition, heart arrhythmias are treated by implanting the most modern pacemakers and defibrillators. Patients with cardiac insufficiency are efficiently diagnosed in or­der to provide for the optimal selection of medications. If needed, so-called resynchronisation pacemakers are implanted. For necessary operative procedures, we work closely with a nearby cardiac surgical centre.
